It is a curry prepared with leaves and twigs of gourd or sajina.Leaves are cut into small pieces and boiled with water containing some soda.(sodium carbonate or crude soda from the market) or home made chheka solution. Some bitten rice"chura" is fried in a pan without oil and is then p...ounded in a wooden mortar "chham".some garlic,ginger and dried red chillis are also pounded in a mortar. The poundded rice and the condiments as prepared above are thrown into the boiling vegetable. The whole mixture is boiled and stirred until a gelatenous soft paste is formed. Phok do is ready now. It is eaten with rice. To get best taste,usna rice "steamed rice" is necessary.
